This year's BAFTA awards went sustainable - from not giving out goodie bags, to a partly vegan low waste meal and an ethical dress code.
BAFTA's also asked attending celebrities to dress sustainably by re-wearing gowns or choose from other sustainable options. To coincide with the evening London College of Fashion released a style guide exploring at different ways dressing can be approached sustainably, including through rental.
Naturally, we were so thrilled to see ourselves included in the guide! A recommendation that stylist Aimee Croysdill and actor Karla-Simone Spence took to heart. Karla stepped out on to the BAFTA red carpet in a Monique L'hullier gown and cape from the By Rotation app!
“I dress so many people for the red carpet, it’s nice to be able to support a more circular approach to fashion through working with a rental platform like By Rotation. After all, these gowns are only worn once,” said stylist Aimee Croysdill of the successful evening.
We're excited to see more award evenings take a sustainable approach and celebrities take the rental revolution to the red carpet. Watch this space!
