A Glass Of Wine With Abi Omole
Abisola Omole is a London-based creative and CEO. Starting her career with a fashion & lifestyle blog, Abisola went on to launch The Apārtment in 2012, that today is a digital & creative agency specialised in event production/design as well as digital & brand strategy. In 2017, the development of three further companies, arva, studio arva & fole studio began. All four companies sit under The Apārtment Global Group (TĀGG) umbrella. Her lifestyle brand studio arva, is a bit of a By Rotation team obsession.
How she keeps a calm and focused attitude
The defining moment happened on a trip to the Swiss alps with her dad, where everything went wrong and her dad told her "you can only control, what you can only control" - a sentiment which she now tries to adopt whenever challenges come up in life or business. While working she also loves to listen to Ocean sounds all day and use the Forest app to help her productivity and concentration.
On starting different companies and juggling it all
As a serial entrepreneur Abi has a flexible approach to her companies, ideas and projects. If an idea seems cool and exciting, she will try it out right away instead of adding it to her list and doing it maybe in five years or not at all.
"I don't worry myself too much with expectation anymore. Nothing has to last forever. I think everyone has this idea that if you come up with something you have to do it forever. And if you didn't do it forever it means it failed or it wasn't successful in some way, but I see my companies as projects with a time frame[...] and I only have to do it for however long I want to do it. Things have a time."
