Florrie Thomas on rotating her wardrobe

Florrie, established Stylist and Contributing Fashion Editor at Harper's Bazaar U.K., has opened up her wardrobe to the By Rotation community. She shares with us her experience of dressing for her pregnancy, and how it makes sense to rotate during this joyful period!

Florrie Thomas in a rented Rixo dress

"One of the best ‘pregnancy dressing’ tips I’ve received is to gradually pack away clothes that no longer fit you as you expand, rather than leave them hanging in your wardrobe, taunting you each time you get dressed. It really does make getting dresse each morning so quick, highlights what you already have and removes that sad, longing feeling every time you see your obsolete fabric friends. However, renting them out for others to enjoy while I can’t squeeze into them seems SO much better than having them sit in storage. Equally having the chance to rent this Rixo dress (in a bump friendly shape and size) for my holiday seemed so much more sensible than investing in something new, in a size that I might only wear for a limited time. So I’ve listed some of my favourite pieces (which sadly won’t zip up right now) on amazing rental platform and app By Rotation (the link to all of the pieces I’ve listed is in my stories so please enjoy them while I can’t!) and I strongly urge anyone with a new watermelon-shaped appendage to check out their ‘bump- friendly’ edit and rent yourself a summer treat that’s just as temporary as your bump🤰🏻❤️"
