Tell us when did your renting journey begin…
Earlier this year I had an industry awards ceremony, I had ordered something from the US and it was not arriving in time! I had walked past the Mayfair store on my way to work everyday but never been in. I ran in a fluster 1 hour before closing and the girls sat me down, asked my size and pulled me options from the managed archive. In no longer than 15 minutes… Viola I had a full outfit, the dress, the shoes and the bag.
Top favourite rentals this year?
The Galvan floor length black tie gown was incredible, I wore it for the Aesthetic Awards where I was nominated for ‘The Rising Star Award’. This was a showstopper, it was elegant and not too revealing!
I also rented a gorgeous white Rat and Boa silk dress for a black and white themed gala event in Croatia. It was giving bridal and I loved it!
How does it feel knowing you’re part of the world’s largest shared wardrobe?
It feels really special to be a part of something that’s bigger than just fashion. I love knowing that every time I rent, I'm contributing to a community of women who are redefining what luxury and conscious consumption can look like. I also am a huge advocate of supporting a female-founded business that’s reshaping the industry.
How much money do you think you’ve saved by renting instead of buying?
What would you say to someone who’s never tried rental before?

What drives you to rent again and again?
I’ve had so many industry events and work trips which means I need to balance the outfits and looks from work to play seamlessly! I love the Self-Portrait co-ords which is chic but professional and modest.
During the same trips or conferences we have a lot of evening dinners, network events and galas, so having some showstoppers for the evening is always important.
Has renting changed your approach to your own wardrobe and shopping habits?
It’s allowed me to be more daring and bold with certain styles. I always played it quite safe, preferring to invest in staple pieces, or keep my colour palette quite simple - beige, browns or monochrome. I feel that renting allows me to explore more palettes and be playful in my personal style.
I shop far less impulsively now. I invest in timeless staples for my wardrobe and rent the exciting, trend-led or occasion pieces. It’s made me much more intentional and mindful about what I own.
Have you ever rented something you wouldn't have dared to buy, and loved it?
I did a full ski wardrobe when I went to Courchevel skiing for the first time. I'm definitely more of a beach holiday girly so didn't want to invest in expensive ski outfits when I may never go again! I had a black and white Goldberg set and moon boots which were perfect and so winter-chic.
What makes you choose to rent rather than buying something new?
It gives me the freedom to wear luxury or statement pieces without the guilt of overspending or blowing my monthly spend! I love that I can experiment with bold styles, look different at every event, and know that I’m not repeating my looks!
