A note from our Founder to our community & the NHS

As I listen to anecdotal hospital stories from my mother-in-law, an NHS Doctor, I feel a sense of responsibility to share with you how we feel and are coping as a business.

As a first-time founder and CEO, I launched By Rotation just over 6 months ago, I chose to focus on being a digital-only business in line with our core value of sustainability via sharing. As an agile startup in today's new world order, we are lucky to have all our team continuing to work with us, business almost as usual. Although we'll sacrifice short-term business goals, our priority is not to push any sales (or rentals in our case) to anyone: because no one needs this right now. By Rotation was not founded to encourage people to spend money on things they don’t need - the contrary in fact.

What I believe we can do as a business is to use the power of our community for good. This is why we want to show our immense gratitude to the tireless work being put in by the NHS by offering a free rental to anyone who works in the NHS as a small gesture and as something to look forward to for their next party, date, holiday when this is all behind us. Just sign up to our free app with your NHS email address and you will receive free credit. If you know of someone working in the front-line, please tag them here, or email me at hello@byrotation.com.

To our customers and community, we’re asking you to volunteer via GoodSAM (Check-in & Chat requires only a few minutes of your time).

We also ask that you continue to support small and local businesses in whatever way possible. If there are any that you would like for us to feature, please let us know.

And if this is all too much… we are here to keep providing some light entertainment with our emoji trivia, #WFHwithBR dress up challenge and general good feelings.

Lastly, please don't forget to show your support for our NHS tonight at 8pm by joining the country in clapping and cheering from your windows, balconies, gardens, or living rooms! Now is the time to spread little joys and appreciate the simple things in life.

T&Cs apply - By Rotation will allocate £50 credit to any workers that sign up with an official NHS email address by April 30th 12pm GMT . The credit is non redeemable against cash and is non-transferrable.
