How did it feel to share your treasured item with Lorraine on her wedding day? 💍
"It felt special to share it with Lorraine. She was so thrilled to be able to wear a Pronovias dress for a fraction of the price of buying it new. It fit her perfectly - so I think it was meant to be … for both of us! She was kind enough to bring me a slice of her wedding cake when she dropped the dress back off with me which was so kind."
Why did you decide to list your wedding dress on the app? 🕊
"It seemed so wasteful to only get one day's wear out of such a beautiful dress! If it could be a part of someone else’s special day and I could make a bit of extra money out of it then it seemed like a no-brainer."
Tell us a little bit more about your wedding day and where you got married? 💒
"We got married close to where we both grew up at the seaside. I even managed to stop for ice cream on the beach with my maid of honour before the ceremony. The reception was at Sledmere Barn - my family has farming ties so it felt fitting! It was an April wedding so a little cold but we are from the North so we don’t really feel the cold."
"I managed to have a dress change in the evening - I donated my evening dress to the Wedding Wishing Well Foundation who organise and fund weddings for terminally ill people in the UK."
