When she's not dressing up a room with beautiful tableware and fun accessories, she's rotating her wardrobe and thrifting for vintage treasures. We spoke to Jamie about her favourite brands, her top accounts to follow on the app and why she has decided to join the #RotatingRevolution.
Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I’m Jamie, also known as Jbird! I’m a big believer in dopamine dressing, and having fun with fashion, regardless of your size. I love all things maximalism, colour and quirk which I work into my personal style, my home interiors, and the event styling for my business, Brash Events. As Iris Apfel said… 'more is more, less is a bore!'
How do you enjoy spending your free time?
I’m a sucker for a bargain. I could spend days rummaging through car boot sales, markets and scrolling Facebook marketplace for something special. I know I don’t need any more vases, but I can’t help myself. When I’m at home, I like to whip up a cocktail at my vintage boat bar I’ve lovingly named The HMS Sexpot!
How did you come across By Rotation?
I found By Rotation after searching for clothing hire sites. I wanted to find something that had a wow factor without breaking the bank, and was pleasantly surprised that I could also list my own wardrobe!
If you could describe your style in 3 words...
Colourful, clashing, co-ords
What are your all time favourite brands?
The brand I have most of is Lazy Oaf. Essentially they allow me, a 33 year old woman to dress as a toddler which I love. I’m a big fan of the beautiful Olivia Rubin dresses, and I dream of owning a Selkie dress one day!
What's your favourite thing about lending on the app?
My favourite thing about lending on the app is sharing the goods! There aren’t as many plus size options out there so it feels so good to be able to lend them out, see renters in clothes we both love and hear how good they felt in them.

What has been your favourite rental so far?
My favourite rental so far was a white Selkie dress. Gave serious runaway bride realness vibes!
What are you lusting after on the app right now?
I have my eyes on the sunflower Selkie dress… just need to source a field of sunflowers for the pics!
