"I'm Renting My Wedding Dress & You Should Too"

Meet Rotator Bianca, who planned a beautifully low-impact wedding in under six months. This bride is proof that simplicity, sustainability, and style can go hand in hand. With a preloved dress, rented florals, and thoughtful details, she embraced a slower, more sustainable approach to her big day.

Now, she’s passing on the joy by lending her wedding pieces on By Rotation. By giving them a second life, she is helping other brides-to-be dress meaningfully.

The By Rotation app is the place to share your most-loved pieces - whether it’s your wedding dress, heels, or that perfect vintage bag. Explore the Something Borrowed Collection to find (or list!) something unforgettable.

Bianca and Joe tied the knot with an intimate ceremony at Islington Town Hall. With just six months to plan, their vision was clear: simple, intentional, and very them.

“It felt more like an elevated dinner party than a formal wedding,” Bianca shares. “We didn't follow a traditional format, but instead focused on making sure our closest family and friends felt included and comfortable, [which] added to the warm, joyful energy of the day.”

From strolling through the streets of Islington after the ceremony to spontaneous dancing at dinner, their wedding day was full of beautiful moments. Many of these were shaped by Bianca’s commitment to sustainability.

She wore a stunning preloved dress, borrowed her veil, and carried a vintage handbag handed down from her mum. Her best friends wore matching dresses from conscious bridal brand Rewritten, and the venue was decorated with rented faux florals and candlelight rather than single-use decor.

“We really tried to minimise the amount of ‘stuff,’” Bianca says. “There was no additional bits of paper and I even resold some of the decor we bought in order to keep it in circulation!”

Guests also took home reusable shot glasses, and Bianca encouraged everyone to wear outfits they already owned. Many did, and others still took the sustainable route by renting or shopping for second-hand items.

The standout look of the day? Her mother-in-law, who designed a gown inspired by multiple dresses she loved. We love the creativity!

Bianca's been a part of the By Rotation community since the early days and now lends out pieces from her wedding wardrobe. She's made it easy for other brides to wear something meaningful without as much of an environmental impact.

“I list everything,” she says. “You never know who might be looking for *that* piece. I love knowing that my wedding dress might be someone else’s wedding dress one day and that makes me so happy.”

Her advice for brides-to-be? “Be really clear on your vision - you can still have the most beautiful day without buying into every single trend you see on social media. It is really easy to get caught up!”
