The sun is out and travel is limited... So we've aptly decided that it's the season of staycationing!
Maruta, our Marketing Executive, tries and tests some of our favourite spots in the country. In this instalment, she explores Eastbourne on England’s southeast coast, whilst staying at the recently-opened boutique Port Hotel. If you're in a much needed dose of 'Vitamin Sea' or have been craving a short getaway, Eastbourne is for you.
From stunning beaches, good food & floaty dresses explore the The Eastbourne Guide below.
Where to stay & what to pack?
"I checked in to Port Hotel, a contemporary boutique hotel situated on the Royal Parade with the most amazing sea views. The modern interiors were very pleasing to the eye, and a nice respite from busy London! My staycation wardrobe consisted of rented floaty dresses & the go-to Loewe basket bag."
What to see?
Beachy Head Cliffs & Lunch at the Local Pub
"Without a doubt, these are the most amazing sea views within a two-hour train journey from London. Head to Beachy Head for the coastal path and make sure to spot the lighthouse tucked away within the cliffs. Top tip: have lunch or stop for a drink at The Beachy Head Pub."
The town & Camilla's Bookshop
"Eastbourne is filled with independent shops, such as Camilla's Bookshop - an antique bookshop, which is definitely a treasure not to miss. Head to the Towner Art Gallery for an afternoon filled with contemporary art."
Sunset at the Royal Parade Beaches
"For my evening look I wore this Three Graces dress, available to rent on the app. After dinner head to the Royal Parade Beaches & The Pier - just in time to watch the sunset!"
